About Emily

A fifth generation Oregonian, Emily was raised in Eugene. After graduating from Mt. Holyoke College, she served two years in AmeriCorps and then worked for the Oregon Judicial Department and Looking Glass Youth Services. In 2010, Emily made a career shift to community economic development, joining NEDCO as the manager of their homeownership programs (after buying her first home in 2009 with LOTS of help from NEDCO!). In December, 2014, Emily stepped into the Executive Director roll, overseeing a slate of programs that includes personal asset building for low income families, affordable housing development, neighborhood revitalization, and community development lending. Emily is a member of the Governor’s Foster Care Advisory Commission, and a founding board member of Oregon Consumer Justice.   Over the last two years Emily has led the charge in the merger between NEDCO and Willamette Neighborhood Housing Services and now serves as the CEO of the merged organization, and it’s subsidiary Community LendingWorks, which has offices serving Lane, Linn, Benton, Lincoln, Marion and Clackamas counties.
