Our Latest Project…Housing for Young Adults Aging Out of Foster Care:

The front six units before renovation.

The front six units before renovation. Stay tuned for new pictures soon!

In April, 2015, NEDCO purchased a 12-unit apartment complex in the Whitaker Neighborhood. Once rehab is complete, the complex will house young adults who have aged out of foster care, providing safe, stable housing while they finish school, go to college, find jobs, and become independent adults. NEDCO is partnering closely with the Looking Glass Riverfront School and Career Center that provides life skills coaching for youth living in the apartments.

This will be the first housing in Lane County (and we think the first complex in Oregon!) dedicated to youth aging out of care.
